PasteToSave

Privacy Policy

The short version

PasteToSave has no user accounts and never asks for your Facebook login. You paste a public link; we fetch the video and pass it to your device. We do not keep a library of the videos people download.

What we process

When you paste a link, we process that link to find the public video it points to. Tracking parameters in the link are not kept in our records. Most downloads are passed straight through to your device without being stored.

Temporary files

When the highest quality of a video is stored with picture and sound separately, we prepare a combined file so you can download it. That prepared file is kept only temporarily (up to around six hours) so repeat downloads are fast, and is then removed automatically.

Logs and rate limiting

To keep the service healthy we keep basic diagnostic records — such as the video title and the link processed (with tracking parameters removed), whether the request succeeded, and how long it took. These records are retained for roughly 30 days and then deleted. To prevent abuse, requests are rate-limited using a non-reversible fingerprint of your network address held briefly in memory — your address itself is not written to our records.

Cookies and tracking

The public site does not require cookies to work and does not use third-party advertising or invasive analytics scripts.

Scope

PasteToSave only works with public Facebook content. Only download videos you own or have permission to save.

PasteToSave is an independent service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Meta or Facebook.
